PSY-PGX GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN MILAN

Focus on Challenges Ahead!

Great progress but recruitment still lacks behind target
At this years General Assembly in Milan, researchers reported great progress, but also discussed challenges for the remaining funding period.

Data from the UK Biobank has finally been obtained and is beginning to be analyzed. Also, a DNA passport for participants of the Clinical Study is almost ready. The biggest challenge of the project is still the low recruitment numbers of the Clinical Study, but strategies to get back on track are being implemented. An additional recruitment center will help to boost recruitment numbers, as will the coming Ethical Approval of the PSY-PGx Clinical Study at several Clinical Centers. Many events such as symposia at scientific congresses, scientific posters and presentations as well as communication by Patient Organizations and with patients have helped to promote PSY-PGx both online as well as in the real world!
